The NSS Unit of Meenakshi College of Arts and Science (MCAS), MAHER, actively participated in the Drug Awareness Mass Pledge-Taking Event held at Presidency College on 11th August 2026. A total of 50 students and NSS volunteers took part in the programme, reaffirming their commitment to promoting awareness against substance abuse and supporting the vision of a drug-free society.
The event was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, whose participation added significance to the awareness initiative. The NSS volunteers had the memorable opportunity to be part of the group photograph with the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
The participation provided the students with a meaningful platform to demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility and contribute to collective efforts towards creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
The event served as an inspiring experience for the volunteers, reinforcing the importance of youth participation in building a healthier, safer, and drug-free society.
