Meenakshi College of Pharmacy Conducts General Health Awareness Programme at Santhavellore Village

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Founder Chancellor Thiru. A. N. Radhakrishnan, MAHER, the students and faculty members of Meenakshi College of Pharmacy organized a General Health Awareness Programme at Santhavellore Village with the objective of promoting awareness on health, hygiene, and overall well-being among the village residents.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Dr. D. Chamundeeswari, Principal, Meenakshi College of Pharmacy, who emphasized the importance of health awareness and active community participation in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

As part of the event, the Village President, Mr. C. V. Vendamani, was honoured by Mr. S. Srinath, Thandalam Campus In-charge, in appreciation of the village administration’s support and cooperation towards community welfare initiatives.

Dr. K. Sundari delivered an informative session on general health, hygiene, preventive healthcare, and healthy lifestyle practices. She also shared important health tips to be followed during the summer season, which were well received by the villagers.

To create greater public awareness in an engaging manner, first-year B.Pharm students presented an impressive skit highlighting the importance of maintaining good health and adopting healthy daily habits. The students also demonstrated kidney functions and common diseases affecting the kidneys using educational models and charts, making the session more interactive and easy to understand for the audience.

An interactive discussion session involving faculty members, students, and village residents enabled participants to clarify doubts and discuss various aspects of health awareness and disease prevention.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. S. Dhanalakshmi, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and village residents for their active participation and support in making the event successful.
