Greetings from MAHER, on 18th October 2024, the Faculty of Humanities and Science, in collaboration with the IPR Cell at Maher, hosted a guest lecture titled “Overview of Intellectual Property Rights.” Dr. P. Ponmurugan, Associate Dean of IPR, served as the keynote speaker, providing a comprehensive overview of various types of intellectual property, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. The event attracted around 50 enthusiastic staff members from the Faculty of Humanities and Science, reflecting a strong interest in understanding the implications and applications of intellectual property rights. The guest lecture successfully emphasized the vital role of intellectual property in academia and industry. Participants left with a clearer understanding of IPR and its relevance to their work.
