The Department of Periodontics, Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital, MAHER, successfully conducted a Student Exchange Program for interns from Tagore Dental College on 18th June 2025. This collaborative academic initiative aimed to enrich clinical skills and broaden academic exposure in the specialized field of Periodontics.

The program was designed to introduce participants to basic implant surgical protocols and the application of microsurgery in periodontal procedures. It also fostered collaborative learning and the exchange of best clinical practices between institutions.

Dr. Sathish Rajendran delivered a comprehensive lecture on implant surgical techniques, followed by a live demonstration of implant placement, offering students a close-up view of procedural intricacies. Further enriching the session, Dr. Saranya conducted an engaging lecture on microsurgery in periodontology, covering equipment components and demonstrating suturing techniques under magnification.
