In commemoration of World Earth Day 2025, the Meenakshi Faculty of Pharmacy, a constituent college of Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University), organized a quiz competition on 22nd April, 2025. The event was based on the global theme “Our Power, Our Planet” and aimed to foster environmental awareness and sustainability among students.
Coordinated by the Cultural and Social Awareness Committee, the competition was conducted for first-year B. Pharm students. A total of 42 students participated, grouped into eight teams for the preliminary round. After an engaging and intellectually stimulating session, two teams advanced to the final round.
The team comprising Mohammed Fahim V Z, Devashena M, Surya Prakash R, Rabeeya Bashreen R, and Shaik Farzana secured first place in the competition. Prof. Dr. D. Chamundeeswari appreciated the enthusiasm and active participation of all students and presented a token of appreciation to the winning team. The event served as a meaningful initiative to engage young minds in conversations around environmental responsibility and global sustainability.
