Celebrating the 75th Year of the Indian Constitution

In commemoration of the 75th year of the Indian Constitution, the Faculty of Humanities and Science, MAHER, organized a series of student talks, group discussions, and a video screening on 15th March, 2025. The event featured a special talk on “Fundamental and Constitutional Rights of Women.”

Dr. B. Subhashini from the Department of EFL, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, graced the occasion. Dr. V. Shanthi, Principal of the Faculty of Humanities and Science, welcomed the gathering, followed by a presentation by Dr. Damodaran, HOD of Psychology, on women’s rights in ancient India. Prof. & Dr. Pushpa Nagini Sripada, Director of the Centre for Online Education, emphasized the need for societal and familial reforms to uphold women’s rights.

The event, coordinated by the English Literary Club students and faculty from the Department of English, involved 35 UG and PG students from the English and Psychology departments, who engaged in thoughtful discussions on the challenges of realizing these rights.
