The Department of Renal Dialysis Technology, Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), celebrated Renal Dialysis Technologist Day on 14th October 2025 with great enthusiasm and pride, recognizing the invaluable contribution of dialysis technologists in ensuring quality patient care and promoting kidney health.
The event began with an invocation, setting a reverent tone for the day. It was followed by engaging and informative sessions that highlighted the vital role of renal dialysis technologists in maintaining patient safety, managing dialysis procedures, and ensuring optimal outcomes for individuals with renal disorders.
The theme of the celebration, “Commitment, Compassion, and Care in Dialysis Practice,” captured the essence of the profession—emphasizing not only technical proficiency but also empathy and dedication in patient management.
Prof. Dr. B. Durga, Vice Principal, Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of continuous learning, ethical practice, and compassionate care in the field of renal technology. She lauded the efforts of dialysis technologists for their vital role in improving patient quality of life and motivated students to pursue excellence in clinical practice and innovation.
As part of the event, students organized chart presentations on topics such as renal diet and dialysis procedures, providing valuable insights into dietary recommendations for kidney patients and showcasing detailed step-by-step dialysis techniques. These creative exhibits enhanced awareness and understanding of renal health management among attendees.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the celebration, fostering a spirit of collaboration and professional pride. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors and reaffirming the department’s dedication to advancing renal care through knowledge, compassion, and commitment.
