MMCHRI Observes World Diabetes Day 2025 with CME on “Diabetes Update”

The Department of General Medicine, Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCHRI), commemorated World Diabetes Day 2025 by organizing a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on the theme “Diabetes & Well-Being” on 14 November 2025. The academic session focused on enhancing awareness, clinical understanding, and current trends in diabetes management and patient care.

The event received an enthusiastic response, with approximately 270 faculty members and postgraduate students and 250 undergraduate students participating. The CME featured insightful academic sessions by experienced clinicians and specialists, offering evidence-based perspectives on diagnosis, treatment strategies, complications, and holistic approaches to diabetes care.

As part of the observance, prizes, medals, and certificates were awarded to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, recognizing their academic excellence and participation. The program aligned with the global mission of advancing diabetes education, strengthening clinical expertise, and improving patient outcomes through continuous learning and professional development.
