Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy (MCPT), MAHER, is delighted to share that Dr. Sugasri Sureshkumar, Head, Department of Physiotherapy in Neuroscience, was honoured for authoring the chapter on Physiotherapy (இயன்முறை மருத்துவம்) during the celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Komugi Kalvi, a renowned Tamil monthly educational magazine dedicated to promoting Tamil literature, education, and knowledge among children and adults.
The recognition was bestowed on 23rd May 2026 by Dr. K. Muthaiyan, distinguished as Tamil Panichemmal, Thirukural Arasu, an eminent agricultural leader, and noted philanthropist, in appreciation of her valuable contribution to educational literature through her authored chapter on physiotherapy.
The commemorative function was held at Pallav International, Chennai, and brought together educators, writers, scholars, and distinguished guests from various fields. The event celebrated the magazine’s 15 years of service in disseminating educational, literary, and social awareness content to the Tamil-speaking community.
Dr. Sugasri Sureshkumar’s contribution reflects her commitment to promoting healthcare education and creating awareness about physiotherapy through regional-language publications, making scientific and healthcare knowledge more accessible to the public.
