Mr. Venkatesan, a B.Sc. Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology student of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, participated in the Drug Abuse Awareness Marathon organized by the Government of Tamil Nadu on 26th June 2026 to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The marathon, which witnessed the participation of nearly 4,000 participants, was flagged off from Anna Stadium, Kanchipuram, and concluded at the District Collector’s Office. Mr. Venkatesan actively took part in the event, joining thousands of participants in spreading the message of a drug-free society and promoting public health awareness.
In recognition of his enthusiastic participation and commitment to the anti-drug awareness campaign, he was appreciated by the government officials and awarded a certificate.
His participation reflects the spirit of youth involvement in public health initiatives and serves as an inspiring example of social responsibility and community engagement.
