Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences Students Participate in Medical Camp at Keelar Village

Final-year students of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS) actively participated in a medical camp held at Keelar Village, Kanchipuram, on 22nd August 2026. The camp provided students with an opportunity to engage in community-based healthcare activities and gain practical exposure beyond the classroom.

Under the guidance of faculty members and healthcare professionals, the students assisted in basic health screening activities, including blood pressure measurement, blood sugar testing, and preliminary health assessments. They also interacted with community members, supporting the healthcare team in providing essential screening services and health-related guidance.

The camp enabled students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world healthcare setting while strengthening their clinical skills, communication abilities, and confidence in patient interaction. It also helped them develop a deeper understanding of the importance of community healthcare and preventive health practices.

The initiative served as a valuable experiential learning opportunity, combining clinical skill development with meaningful community engagement.
