The Faculty of Humanities and Science organized a Language and Communication program as part of the Capability Enhancement Scheme organized by the Department of English, for First Year UG Students of MAHER FHS on 2nd and 3rd November 2023. Chief Guest Ms. Sherly Hephzibah J, a renowned TEDx Speaker, Educator, Entrepreneur, Public Speaker, Writer, and Content Creator spoke about her experiences of becoming a public speaker from the level of not being able to speak English when she was in first year of college to her current status. Her experiences greatly motivated the students to focus on spoken English. Ms. Priya.S, M.A., MPHIL., M.Ed., Faculty Government Law College Vellore conducted a session on Phonetics and Spoken English. Dr Pushpa Nagini Dean FHS, and the faculty of English trained 110 students on LSRW skills in the workshop. Dr Shanthi, Principal FHS, welcomed the Gathering, and Dr Prabahvathy Devi, Vice Principal encouraged the students to improve their communication skills for achieving success.
