The Mentorship Monitoring Committee, in collaboration with the MAYA Clinic at Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI), organized an expert talk titled “Guiding the Guides” on 22nd April, 2025. Held at Morton Hall, Hospital Block, MMCHRI, the session aimed to enhance the mentoring skills and academic engagement of medical educators.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Dr. K.V. Rajasekhar, Dean, MMCHRI, followed by the inaugural address delivered by Prof. Dr. V. Eswari, Vice Principal – Academics, MMCHRI. The highlight of the session was the insightful talk by Prof. Dr. Rama Rao Mannam, Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry, who shared his expertise on the evolving role of mentors in medical education.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. M. Shanmugapriya, Coordinator, Mentorship Monitoring Committee. The event was well-received and served as a valuable platform for enriching the mentorship framework within the institution.
