The MAHER Placement Cell and Meenakshi College of Arts & Science (MCAS), in collaboration with Magic Bus India Foundation, organised a career guidance programme titled “SkillUp: Life Skills & Employability Development Programme” on 28 August 2026, from 12.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m., for the final-year students of MCAS.
The programme brought together 159 students for an engaging session focused on developing the life skills and employability competencies essential for a successful transition from the classroom to the professional world. The session was delivered by Mr. Gopinath, Magic Bus India Foundation, who shared practical insights into workplace readiness, employability skills, and the importance of effective life skills in building a confident professional career.
Adding an interactive dimension to the session, a series of fun-filled activities encouraged students to actively participate, reflect, and apply the concepts discussed. The engaging format created an energetic learning environment while helping students gain a better understanding of the skills expected in today’s workplace.
Dr. V. Shanthi, Principal – Shift I, delivered the welcome address. The programme was organised and coordinated by Dr. Anitha K., Placement Officer, MAHER, with the objective of strengthening students’ employability readiness and equipping them with practical life skills for their future careers.
The programme provided students with valuable insights and practical exposure to workplace expectations, helping them build confidence, adaptability, communication skills, and a stronger foundation for their professional journey.
