The aim of the central library of Meenakshi Medical College and Research Institute is to serve the varied needs of its many readers efficiently. This library, a “Knowledge Resource  Centre” is located in an independent building, in a three storeyed building.  This library is well  designed, central air  conditioned, with fire  alarm, fully equipped with  furniture & with a pleasant  atmosphere. The layout of  and floor area of each floor  is 1393 Sq.mts. College  started functioning from  2002 onwards. Library is  functioning from 8.00AM  to 10.00PM from Monday  to Saturday and 9.00AM to  3.00 PM on Sundays. Ground floor has 250 seats  in one main reading hall,  one room for faculties with  50 seats and another for PG  students with 30 seats.  In addition to these 330  seats, in the first floor 250  seats are available for the  users to read their own  books.

The library makes available to the undergraduates post graduates, super specialties, paramedical students with a  wide collection of medical literature including books, journals, reference sources, pamphlets, electronic resources like e-books and e-journals of the library.  Library has a membership with DELNET and thro’ this various services are obtained.
