Students of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, actively participated in a Medical Camp Outreach Programme conducted at Uthiramerur, Kanchipuram, on 6th June 2026, organized by Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) in collaboration with Indian Yamaha Motors. The outreach initiative provided students with valuable opportunities to engage in community healthcare services while gaining practical clinical experience.
A total of eight students from the Second and Third Year Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology (OTAT) and Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) programmes enthusiastically participated in the camp. They assisted the healthcare team in patient guidance, registration, basic health screening procedures, and the smooth coordination of camp activities under the supervision of medical professionals.
The programme focused on promoting health awareness and preventive healthcare among the public while emphasizing the importance of community outreach and social responsibility in healthcare delivery. Through direct interaction with patients and healthcare professionals, the students enhanced their practical skills, communication abilities, teamwork, and understanding of community-based healthcare services.
