MCYST Leads Common Yoga Protocol Training Across MAHER for International Day of Yoga 2026

In preparation for the International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrations, Meenakshi College of Yoga Science and Therapy (MCYST), MAHER, has initiated the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) Training Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The programme is being conducted to ensure effective preparation and coordinated participation in the International Day of Yoga demonstration scheduled for 21st June 2026.

As part of this initiative, Ph.D. scholars and students of MCYST have been deputed to the various constituent colleges of MAHER to conduct structured training sessions on the Common Yoga Protocol. The training focuses on familiarizing participants with the standardized yoga practices prescribed by the Ministry of Ayush and enhancing their understanding of the principles and benefits of yoga.

The sessions include demonstrations and guided practice of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods, enabling participants to perform the protocol accurately and confidently. The programme also promotes awareness of yoga as an effective tool for physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic health.
