MMCHRI Conducts Hands-on BLS & ACLS Training for Future Medical Specialists

The Department of Emergency Medicine, MMCHRI, successfully conducted a hands-on training programme on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for postgraduate students and future medical specialists.

The training was conducted by Dr. Kamalkannan, Dr. Badhurjaman, and the Emergency Medicine team under the guidance of Prof. Dr. K. V. Rajasekhar, Dean, MMCHRI, and Dr. Punitha, Medical Education Unit (MEU), MMCHRI.

The programme focused on emergency response preparedness, equipping participants with essential life-saving skills required during critical situations and code blue emergencies. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on sessions, participants were trained in CPR techniques, airway management, cardiac emergency response, and advanced resuscitation protocols.

The interactive nature of the training enabled participants to develop confidence in handling emergency scenarios effectively and efficiently within clinical settings.
This academic engagement strengthened participants’ emergency response skills, clinical decision-making abilities, and preparedness in managing life-threatening situations through evidence-based resuscitation practices.
