On the occasion of the beloved Founder’s Birth Anniversary, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit organized a meaningful visit to Brindavan Old Age Home on 20th May 2026.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of NSS Coordinator Dr. C. Umarani, along with Programme Officers from various departments including Ms. Aswitha (Arts and Science), Mr. Annadurai, Mr. Badri (Yoga Therapy), Dr. Melba (Occupational Therapy), and Dr. Dharshini (Physiotherapy). A total of 20 NSS volunteers actively participated in the service initiative.

During the visit, the volunteers interacted warmly with the elderly residents and organized yoga sessions, therapy-based activities, and recreational programmes aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being. The activities created a cheerful and engaging environment, bringing happiness and comfort to the residents.

As part of the programme, food was distributed to nearly 90 elderly residents as a gesture of compassion and social care. The initiative fostered meaningful interaction between students and the elderly, emphasizing empathy, respect, and community service.
