The Department of Psychiatry, Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, conducted CME on “Mental Health in Workplace” to commemorate World Mental Health Day on 10.10.2024. The program commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony. Distinguished speakers including Prof. Dr. Rama Rao Mannam, HOD, Department of Psychiatry, MMCH&RI, Dr. K.V. Rajasekhar, Dean, MMCH&RI, and Dr. K. Boopathy, Medical Superintendent, MMCH&RI, delivered insightful addresses, emphasizing the importance of mental health. The event featured a variety of cultural performances, including a nursing student skit, post-graduate student dance, and a mental health-related short film. These performances served to engage the audience and create a positive atmosphere. Renowned experts in the field of psychiatry delivered informative talks on various mental health topics. Dr. Ashokan, Professor &HOD, Psychiatry, Sri Muthukumaran Medical College, discussed problematic libido, Dr. Jai Kumar, Associate Professor, Psychiatry, Govt, Vellore Medical College focused on emotional intelligence, Dr. Nappinai Seran, Professor, Psychiatry, MMCHRI addressed work-life balance and Dr. Maria, Psychiatrist, Mamallan Hospital discussed on Life Skills in WorkPlace. These talks provided valuable insights and practical advice to the audience.
