“Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital, in association with the Internal Complaints Committee, observed the UGC-recommended World Suicide Prevention Day (2024-2026) with the triennial theme “Changing the Narrative of Suicide”. As part of the “Let’s Talk” campaign, six 3rd BDS students – Rachel Louis Francis, Avanthika R.M, Shalini Prakash, Benazeer Banu I, Praveen S K, and Afrah Aliflam – delivered presentations on various aspects of suicide prevention. The event featured a guest lecture by Dr. Veda Vijaya, Head of the Department of Pharmacology, and our in-house psychologist. The students received certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contributions. The campaign aimed to raise awareness and promote open conversations about mental health and wellness.”
