Final-year students of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, actively participated in a Community Medical Camp conducted on 27th June 2026 at Visoor Village, Uthiramerur, Kanchipuram District. The camp was organized by Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) in collaboration with Yamaha Motors as part of its community healthcare outreach initiative.
Students from the B.Sc. Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) programme played an active role in supporting the healthcare team by assisting with outpatient registration, blood pressure (BP) assessment, and electrocardiogram (ECG) recording. Working under the supervision of medical professionals, they contributed to the smooth delivery of healthcare services while interacting directly with patients from the rural community.
The outreach programme offered the students valuable real-world clinical exposure, enabling them to strengthen their technical competencies, communication skills, teamwork, and understanding of community-based healthcare. Their participation also highlighted the importance of preventive health services and early screening in improving rural health outcomes.
