Course Type Degree Age Limit Eligibility
Undergraduate B.Sc (Nursing) The candidate (Male/ Female) should complete the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  • The Candidate (Male/Female) should have passed +2 or equivalent qualifying examination with science subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
  • Candidates must be medically fit and should produce medical certificate at the time of admission.
Post Basic Degree P.B. BSc (N) (25 seats) There is no upper age limit for admission into the P.B. B.Sc.(N) course.
  • Candidates Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
  • Candidates (Male/ Female) for Admission to P.B. B.Sc.(N) course should have qualified in Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery and be a registered nurse and midwife in the Tamil Nadu Nurses and midwives Council or any other State Nursing Council accepted by the University.
  • Candidates must be medically fit and should produce medical certificate at the time of admission.
Post Graduate M.Sc (Nursing) -
  • The Candidates (Male/ Female) should have Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing degree from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University or any other University accepted as equivalent there to
  • Should have registered with Tamil Nurses and Midwives council.
  • BSc. Nursing graduates should have one-year clinical experience in a teaching hospital after graduation and after RNRM Registration in the nursing council.
  • The candidate (Male/ Female) with P.B. B.Sc. nurses need not have one year of experience after graduation for admission to the M.Sc. Nursing. They can be admitted to M.Sc. Nursing soon after the graduation in any branch of study.
  • Candidates (Male/ Female) should obtain Migration Certificate other than MAHER from their respective universities at the time of admission.
  • Candidates must be medically fit and should produce medical certificate at the time of admission.
