Interns from the Physician Assistant (PA), Respiratory Therapy (RT), and Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) programmes of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, actively participated in a Medical Camp organized by Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) in collaboration with Yamaha on 21st July 2026 at Veliyur Village. The outreach initiative was conducted to provide essential healthcare services and promote preventive healthcare awareness among the rural community.
Under the supervision of healthcare professionals, the interns actively assisted in patient registration, recording vital signs, guiding patients, and providing health education. Their dedicated involvement supported the efficient delivery of healthcare services while offering them meaningful opportunities to interact with patients in a community healthcare setting.
The medical camp provided valuable hands-on clinical exposure, enabling students to enhance their practical knowledge, communication skills, teamwork, and understanding of rural healthcare delivery.
